150 addresses, „Ristoranti del cuore“! GaultMillau Switzerland presents the 880 best restaurants in Switzerland, lists 230 trendy-urban GaultMillau POP addresses, and closes one final gap on June 20: Because pasta & pizza are so beloved here, we have been searching for weeks for the finest Italian ristoranti in the country: 100 addresses in German-speaking Switzerland, 25 each in Ticino and French-speaking Switzerland. The ristoranti are lovingly described, and our favorite addresses receive an additional seal of quality: „Ristorante del Cuore.“ We have been traveling extensively for this GaultMillau special magazine (published with „Schweizer Illustrierte“ and „Handelszeitung“). We are currently eating no small amount of orecchiette, tortelli, spaghetti, branzino, pollo, and pizza. There are less pleasant jobs. „Bella Italia“: The world is pink! Our designers Nina Thoenen and Uli Behling recommend that we present the 150 ristoranti on pink paper. This creates a very fashionable effect and recalls the iconic Italian newspaper „Gazzetta dello Sport.“ Italianità at first glance! The first list features the most diverse cuisines: world-class chefs such as the Fratelli Cerea at „Carlton“ St. Moritz are included alongside the lively pizzeria „Negrini“ in Altdorf UR. In cities such as Zurich, Basel, Bern, and Lucerne, we search for the best. GaultMillau chefs assisted in the search, sharing their private insider tips. This will not remain a „one shot“: we will continue to focus on „Bella Italia“ in every GaultMillau magazine and on the GaultMillau channel, seeking to discover further addresses; relevant suggestions are gladly welcomed. The finest Italian hosts in Switzerland will receive a „Top 150“ sticker from GaultMillau for their entrance area. A pink seal of quality!

Pasta, Pizza & Pasticceria. „Bella Italia“ aims to be a modern magazine and showcase what makes Italy so endearing. Therefore, it does not stop at the classic restaurant guide. We also focus on pasticceria & prodotti, on salumi, formaggi & formaggini, on olio di oliva and pasta from Gragnano, on vini, aperitivi & grappa. We travel to the most beautiful regions, to Apulia, to Tuscany, and to Sicily; from there come the wonderful, slightly sweet „gamberi rossi.“

Launching with strong partners. „Bella Italia“ is an ambitious project; the effort is considerable. But we are launching with strong partners: Cornèrcard is our „Presenting Partner,“ and the two successful family companies Bindella & Bianchi, anchored in Switzerland for generations, are our partners. They support the new magazine and agree with us: a tribute to „Bella Italia“ and a list of the 150 best Italian restaurants in Switzerland is long overdue.
