Proximity Matters: Logistics as a Core Brand Value at Bianchi

Freshness, reliability, and delicacies of the highest caliber: In Swiss gastronomy, the name Bianchi stands not only for fish and seafood but also for logistics that set standards.

People Make the Difference. Around 150 employees and over 170 vehicles ensure that orders arrive punctually and in perfect condition – from Geneva to Graubünden, from Zurich to Valais. A particular emphasis is placed on personal responsibility: The drivers not only deliver but also act as brand ambassadors. Anyone who takes on a tour organizes their workday independently. This freedom fosters identification and loyalty – and staff turnover is accordingly low.

It makes me particularly proud that we have such good cohesion within the team, here in our office, and also with the drivers. […] It’s a collaboration, it works perfectly.
Adriatik Pergjegjaj, Head of Logistics at Bianchi

Solutions for Special Challenges. That logistics at Bianchi means more than just transport is evident in demanding destinations such as the „Seehotel Baumgarten“ on Lake Lucerne. Narrow access roads pose problems for conventional trucks – but not for Bianchi’s fleet. Specially adapted refrigerated vehicles with lowered bodies ensure smooth delivery even here, without compromising the cold chain. A large part of the deliveries takes place at night. Orders placed by 5 AM are delivered on the same day – with no minimum order value, no delivery fees. For top chefs who rely on absolute freshness, this is a decisive advantage.

Infrastructure and Direct Imports. The foundation for this precision is formed by two state-of-the-art logistics centers in Zufikon and Saint-Prex. Generous storage areas and digitally controlled processes ensure availability, transparency, and efficiency. In addition, there is a crucial competitive advantage: direct imports. Bianchi sources seafood, meat, and delicacies directly from selected producers worldwide – often overnight by air freight. This ensures that wild-caught fish from Scotland, noble fish from Brittany, or Wagyu beef from the Jura Park reliably arrive fresh in Swiss kitchens.

Logistics as a Promise. Since its founding in 1881, Bianchi has aimed to deliver delicacies of the highest quality. Today, the company is also considered a logistics pioneer. This is made possible by the combination of investments in technology, consistently digitized processes, dedicated employees, and a clear service philosophy.

At Bianchi, logistics is not a side issue – it is the heart of the brand promise. In an industry where every minute counts, Bianchi delivers reliably, flexibly, and personally.
